Sunhyo Mast is a multidisciplinary artist, designer and curator based in Rotterdam (NL).

His practice bridges the worlds of sculpture and design, creating bespoke pieces that push the boundaries between functional object and artistic expression. Being obsessed and utterly intrigued by the process of decay, he embraces an intentionally chaotic process, redefining the value of materials, prioritizing the use of discarded or reclaimed elements over new, pristine ones. This approach not only challenges conventional ideas of beauty and utility but also reflects a deeper inquiry into the lifecycle of materials.

Alongside his sculptural work, Sunhyo places a strong emphasis on fostering human connections and collaborative creative processes. This commitment to collective action is expressed through his curatorial projects, where he organizes exhibitions that engage diverse voices and perspectives. By shifting between the roles of artist and curator, Sunhyo creates spaces that invite dialogue, experimentation, and community involvement, all while continuing to explore the intersection of form, function, and materiality.
